more about me

Hello
I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist. I have worked in assessment and support of neurodevelopmental differences in children and young people since 2001. I am a specialist in the differential diagnosis of autism and I have over 20 years experience of working with children who have a different way of thinking about the world.
From 2001 until 2018 I worked as part of a Child Development Centre in Derbyshire, my main role being assessment of children's neurodevelopmental differences, supporting families and children to understand those differences, running workshops for parents and children and individual intervention work.
In 2018 I spent some time in a specialist autism school, providing support to the students and then in 2019 I started work in a specialist autism service funded through the charity sector.
I have a degree in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology and am qualified to administer and score the ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview) and the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation schedule), both of which are considered 'gold standard' assessment tools in the diagnosis of autism. I have trained to use the ACE (ADHD Child Evaluation) and the qbcheck cognitive assessment for ADHD.
I am BPS (British Psychological Society) and HCPC (Health Care Professional Council) registered.
